Prairie Landscape - Personal Work

On a recent trip to Canada, my dad (the one that taught me photography) and I went out just before sunset with our wide angle lenses to have some fun. Here is the result...

The mosquitoes were CRAZY here and I actually had to clone many of them out of these shots!

Maegan - 2011 Senior

Maegan and her family came all the way from Lino Lakes for this two and a half hour senior session, and I am so glad they did! Her, and her family were a treat to work with. Maegan is a natural in front of the camera, her poses just came naturally. Dad helped out by holding the reflectors and softbox, while mom gave her a country tune to sing to help her stay relaxed.
All of these hot spots were within 10 minutes of my home studio and each one adds a special touch. Maegan is a country girl at heart, hence the country shots. Then we hit "downtown" Prior Lake for a totally different feel. Then finished up with the natural field flowers, for that "outdoor fashion supermodel" look.

These were shot in the "garage studio". We were hoping for some hockey shots since she played defense, but was unable to acquire the team jersey. So instead of letting it go to waste we shot a couple, quick, studio samples.

Eric & Amy - Wayzata Wedding

Amy and Eric were married on July 3rd, a comfortable 95 degrees with 95% humidity. The ceremony took place in Maple Plain, and the reception at the gorgeous Wayzata Country Club (where you have to know someone who knows someone to get in). Simply a stunning facility with an amazing course as well (we got to see some of it on a golf cart scouting for pictures). Amy and Eric, along with their families were a treat to work with.



They had an awesome vintage car to use for their wedding day...

Unfortunately, it broke down between the ceremony and the reception. Which wasn't all bad since they could now use an air conditioned car to get there. The classic ride did eventually make it to the club for some more pictures... see below.
