Thank You - Thank You - Thank You

I would just like to thank every one of my clients from 2009, it was a great year! I had 34 weddings this year, and 2010 is starting to shape up the same way.

Super Buffet

I was contracted by an ad agency to shoot the Super Buffet in Chaska for a magazine spread. Here are a few of the resulting images.
As a side note, not only does the food look good (amazing presentation for a buffet), it tastes great too :)

Merry Christmas

I love getting out to photograph Christmas lights this time of year. Here are a few from Rice Park in St Paul along with the Landmark building.

Heidemann Family

I recently had the opportunity to take Christmas pictures with this wonderful family. They just welcomed their little boy into the world not that long ago.

Some Personal Work - Twin Cities at Night

My brother was in town over Thanksgiving and we decided to head out to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. It's probably not something I'd do by myself (stroll around after dark with expensive camera gear), so I'm glad my brother was up for it.
Here's what caught my eye...

This is called "Painting with Light". Basically when the shutter is held open for a long period of time, the camera sensor picks up light and only stationary subjects can be seen. So... you can manipulate light rays (by using a flash light in this case) and if you move around fast enough the camera doesn't "see" you. Here you can see my legs (sort of) as I stood in one spot spelling the letters of my name.

The Berg Kids

The Berg family came by the studio for their Christmas pictures over the weekend. Here are my favorite shots of the kids. We had a great time making this little one smile... but it worked.

Josh & Ruth

Josh and Ruth make such a fantastic couple, and their wedding brought out a lot of emotion (which I love). When I met with them, they mentioned how important photography was for their wedding. So I'm very flattered that they chose me to capture it for them, and I only hope I met their expectations.
Their wedding day was one of the nicest November days I can remember. We were able to go to a near by park for some nice out door shots (which is usually quite hard this time of year).

The first meeting....

a hug from brother...

we had 5 minutes to run out for a sunset picture,

the chocolate fountain at the reception was a huge hit...

Chef Joan

I had the opportunity to take some pictures of a local up and coming chef. She needed a few shots done for her new website. Here are a few samples from the 90min session.
